Call for Artists: The Future of Water

Applications are now open for The Future of Water, a speculative art project commissioned by The School for Living Futures in partnership with the Durham Art Guild and with support from the Durham Arts Council.

The Future of Water will feature commissioned works by three Durham-based artists offering their visions and creative answers to the problems facing our waterways. Applications are open until December 1, and selected artists will be notified by mid-December. The Future of Water will culminate in a show at Durham Art Guild’s Golden Belt Gallery in May 2024.

This project was supported by the Durham Arts Council’s Annual Arts Fund and the N.C. Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources.
